Tips to Optimize your Experience
Be in a comfortable and well-lit area that is quiet and private.
Use earphones to ensure privacy.
Feel free to make notes or write questions beforehand about items you may wish to review.
Please have a full list of your current medications available for review.
If you have recent blood pressure readings, blood glucose measurements, temperature, weight, labs, reports, or any other medical data you wish to review or which may be helpful, please have them on-hand.
Since not all issues can be effectively managed with telemedicine, it will still be necessary to have periodic visits to address some items. Please keep all advised follow-up appointments and obtain additional evaluations as advised.

We hope you will agree with us that this type of encounter offers patients the opportunity to have a medical visit at home that provides necessary medical care without the travel, unavoidable waiting time, and exposure to risks that are all encountered when making a trip to a doctor’s office. We are grateful that Medicare and other insurers have decided to treat telemedicine visits as if they were in-office visits and will cover the associated costs with such a visit in a manner identical to a standard office visit. If at any time during your care today you have and concerns about the telemedicine process, please voice them immediately. This appointment is made only with your consent and we are here to serve your needs.
As with any medical encounter, your privacy is of utmost concern. This digital connection is being conducted over a HIPAA-compliant internet connection. Dr. Anders will be connecting from a private room. Your encounter will not be recorded with audio/video equipment. Just like a regular office visit, the electronic medical record is still important for taking notes, so when he looks away from you or the camera he is probably reviewing your medical record or adding notes to it.
